Synopsis of Class
|
Even though winter is upon us there is still lots of great
fishing opportunities. Warmwater and coldwater species
are still biting. One great pattern that works for
both smallmouth and trout alike is the hellgrammite.
When these flies are fished slow and deep they often produce
when others fail.
In this class we will tie up three proven hellgrammite
patterns. Having any of these patterns in your box in
multiple sizes can mean the difference between a good days
fishing and a great day.
The flies you will tie are,

All tying material will be provided. You will need to bring the
following tying equipment.
- A vise
- A Bobbin

Tying Thread (for this class black and olive( 6/0 or 8/0)
- Head Cement
- Scissors
- Half hitch tools and/or Whip Finish Tool
