Synopsis of Class
For many people heading south to escape the cold weather of the Midwest means Texas and the gulf coast.  The Texas coast has thousands of islands, and bays and flats that are full of redfish.  There are also health populations of bonefish, permit, snook and tarpon, however many people like to target the redfish along the gulf coast.  They can grow very large and can be a lot of fun sight casting to in the flats.

In this class we will focus on four effective patterns for redfish, particularly along the Texas gulf coast.  None of these are particularly difficult or time consuming to tie so you can tie up a lot in a short time and even vary the color patterns slightly to have an assortment.  The following are the flies you will tie.

Refish Nymph

Steve's Glass minnow

Scate's Shrimp

Baby Stingray Crab
