Synopsis of Class
|
As soon as the snow melts and the sun starts to shine
everyone gets the itch to get out fishing. Here in
Indiana that mostly means smallmouth fishing. The
waters are still pretty cold and the fish are sluggish.
But they are very hungry. That means streamers fished
slow and deep are the order of the day.
There are many streamer patterns that are productive in the
early spring. The key is to fish patterns that can be
swung slow and deep in the water. Dark Sculpins,
minnow
and worm patterns work really well. The early Spring
Smallmouth class is designed to teach just some of these
patterns. All can be tied with dark colors and lots of
weight so they can be fished deep and slow. You can
also change the colors for later summer and fall fishing!
The flies you will tie in this class are,
|

Clouser Deep Minnow - Black
|

Clouser Madtom
