Synopsis of Class
Nymphs can be one of the most effective flies for catching trout, however many fisherman are uncertain as to which particular nymphs are good to start with.   With so many productive nymphs it is hard to choose which are good all round patterns to have in your fly box.  For this class we will be tying two patterns that are true nymph patterns, one that is an emerger pattern and on that is a soft hackle fly pattern.

The flies you will tie are,



Flashback Hare's Ear
Whitlock Red Fox Squirrel Nymph

Klinkhammer Emerger Nymph

Partridge and Yellow
All tying material will be provided. You will need to bring the following tying equipment.
  • A vise
  • A Bobbin
  • Tying Thread (for this class, black, orange, brown 6/0)
  • Head Cement
  • Scissors
  • Half hitch tools and/or Whip Finish Tool
