Synopsis of Class
|
Everyone who has done much fly fishing has found out just
how effective woolly buggers can be. Whether you are fishing
for trout, steelhead, bluegill, bass or even saltwater
species, you can catch them on woolly buggers. For
those who tie their own flies the woolly bugger is usually
one of the first flies you learn to tie. It is very
simple in its' construction and the materials are fairly
inexpensive. The great thing is you can change any one
of the basic components and come up with even more effective
patterns. By adding bead and cone heads, rubber legs,
flashabou or multiple colors of material there is an endless
amount of patterns you can tie.
Our class this Saturday is aimed at tying a few variations
that can make woolly buggers more fun to tie as well as add
great patterns for you to fish. We will be focusing on
five different patterns but the major focus is in realizing
the endless number of variations you can make with this
versatile fly.
The patterns we will be tying are,

Rivergod Bugger
|

Fire Butt |

Woolly Bomber

Pearl Dancer |

Egg Sucking Crystal Bugger
