Fly Tying Material
Hooks
Eye styles: A: Turned up eye (TUE)
B: Turned Down eye (TDE)
Straight or Ringed eye (RE)
Sizes: From size #1, the hooks get smaller as the number gets larger.  For example, a size 20 hook is much smaller than a size 10 hook.

Threads
3/0 Monochord Used primarily for nymph and streamers
6/0, 8/0 Used for nymphs and dry flies
'A' Used for bass bugs and rubber spiders

Tails
Moose mane and body hair, deer hair, mallard flank, wood duck flank, hackle fibers, wool yarn, floss, pheasant tail fibers, elk body hair, goose quill, teal flank, muskrat guard hairs, guineas peacock herl, ostrich herl, rubber hackle, goose bios, hackle tips, marabou, grouse, turkey quill, fox and gray squirrel body and tail.

Bodies
Furs such as Australian opossum, beaver, badger, mole, muskrat, rabbit, seal, and hare's ear mask.   Synthetics such as wool yarn, fly rite, antron, chenille, flat or oval tinsel, gold and silver embossed tinsel, copper, silver or gold wire, peacock or ostrich herl.

Weight
Lead wire, dumbbell eyes, and bead chain eyes.

Hackle
Rooster hackle (for dry flies), Saddle (for larger dry flies and streamers), Partridge, grouse, starling, hen (for wet flies).

Wings
Mallard wing quill, turkey quill, pheasant quill, teal, pintail, marabou, elk, deer, calf body or tail, squirrel tail or body, wood chuck.
