Thread: To Match Body Color
Tail: Marabou In Color To Match Body
Body: Medium Chenille, Color is your choice
Hackle: Brown, Black, or grizzly
Weight: Lead wire, Size .020

Tying Instructions
Step 1: Mount the hook in the vise and attach the thread to hook using a jam knot. Cover the shank with thread.  Wrap the shank with lead wire and cover the lead with thread.  Apply head cement to the wraps.
Step 2: Position thread above the hook barb.  Measure and tie in a marabou plume.  Tail should be shank length.  Tie in a 2nd marabou plume if necessary for a full tail.
Step 3: Again position thread above the barb.  Tie in the hackle by the tip.  Tie in a length of chenille and advance thread to within 1/8 inch of the eye.  Wrap the chenille forward and tie it off.  Clip the excess chenille.
Step 4: Palmer the hackle over the chenille to the eye, tie off and clip the excess hackle.
Step 5: Whip finish and cement the head.

*** Develop the habit of positioning the thread where it will be used for the next step in the fly's construction.

*** Do not use more wraps of thread than necessary to hold the materials securely. Avoid unnecessary build up of thread and materials.
