Thread: 3/0 or 6/0, color to match body
Tail: Red Hackle Fibers
Body: Medium Silver Tinsel or Silver Chenille

Tying Instructions
Step 1: Mount the hook in the vise and attach the thread to hook using a jam knot about 1/8th inch from the eye.   Wrap thread back to the bend stopping above the barb.
Step 2: Remove a few red hackle fibers from the stem, even the tips and tie in above the barbs.
Step 3: Cut a 3 – 4 inch piece of the body material.   Tie on above the barb and wrap forward toward the eye.   Tie off and clip the excess.
Step 4: Remove some more red hackle fibers from the stem and tie them in under the hook about 1/4th inch from the eye.

Option: Turn the hook over so the point of the hook is up.
Step 5: Select some yellow Marabou. Measure to a length that will extend just beyond the hook bend.   Tie in at the head end of the fly.
Step 6: Tie in 5 peacock herls on top of the marabou.   Trim the excess.
Step 7: Whip finish and cement the head
