Hook: Mustad #3906
Thread: Black 6/0
Tag: Flat Gold Tinsel
Body: Peacock Herl
Hackle: Dark Ginger Hen (tied color style)
Wing: White Duck Quill Segments or Calf Body Hair

Tying Instructions
Step 1: Mount the hook in the vise and attach the thread to hook using a jam knot about 1/8th inch from the eye. Wrap thread to the bend stopping at the barb.
Step 2: Tie in about 3 inches of gold tinsel above the barb and wrap five or six turns down the bend and back up to the tie in point. Tie off and trim excess.
Step 3: Tie in three peacock herls then advance thread to 1/8th inch from the eye. Wrap two of the herls forward and tie off. Trim excess. Wrap the third herl over the other two to create a full body. Tie off and trim excess.
Step 4: Select a dark ginger hen hackle and remove the fluffy fibers. Tie in on top of the shank with two or three turns of thread. Trim butts ends. Attach hackle pliers and take two or three wraps around the shank. Tie off and trim excess.
Step 5: Select a left and right duck quill segment. The sections should be slightly less than the hook gap. Tie in the segments on top of the shank. The wings should extend just beyond the hook bend. Trim excess.
Step 6: Whip finish and cement head.
