Maximum Size: 8
Instructor: Ian Anderson

Synopsis of Class
One of the main attractions people have to fly fishing is the excitement of catching fish on the surface of the water.  Whether you are dry fly fishing for trout or casting big topwater flies for musky you just can not beat the thrill of watching the fish come up to the surface and take your fly.  There is some dry fly fishing opportunities here in central Indiana but mostly fishing flies on the surface means poppers for bass and bluegill.

There are hundreds of popper patterns as well as ways of tying them.  In this class we will focus on four different flies that help represent the style of poppers to tie and fish as well as various complexities of creating these flies.  We will not actually be painting the patterns that require paint dues to time limitations.  However, we will be using some Tuffleye to finish off one of the fly heads and discussing steps for completing painted poppers.

The flies you will tie in this class are,
