Synopsis of Class
Bluegill are one of the fish in early spring that fly fisher target after ice out.  Before topwater action picks up as the weather gets warmer Bluegill love underwater insects and small minnows.  Many proven trout wet fly patterns are very productive for Bluegill as well.

In this class you will tie up four very productive patterns for catching early spring bluegills.  There is Plus they are all quick flies to tie and fun patterns to experiment with.  You can tie up a half dozen of these flies in about 30 minutes so you can easily tie up enough to fill a fly box and not worry about loosing flies.

  • Tying thread (for this class black and yellow 6/0 or 8/0)

  • Half hitch tools and/or Whip Finish Tool
