Synopsis of Class
|
Fall is a great time to fly fishing. All kinds of
species are active in the fall, fattening up for the winter.
Sometimes with so many different fish to target it is hard
to decide which fish to head out for. For many people,
fall is salmon season. The kings start running into
the Michigan rivers and streams in early September and
continue through mid-October. Hooking up with a large
twenty plus pound salmon and fighting them for 30 minutes is
an experience not to be missed.
This Saturday in our tying class we will be focusing on
Salmon flies for Michigan salmon. We will be tying a four
tried and true patterns that are very productive in Michigan. Through out the class
we will be discussing salmon fishing and different ways to
catch them. This should be a great class and you do
not want to miss it!
