Synopsis of Class
|
Time is running out on our smallmouth season. Cooler
days and less light mean less and less fishing.
However, the smallmouth are not done yet. We still
have a few weeks left, make certain you are throwing the
right flies for catching fall smallmouth.
Minnows are the fly of choice for hefty fall smallmouth.
The crawdads are getting scarce as the temperatures drop so
the smallies are focusing on the young of the year minnows.
These minnows are from 1 to 2 inches in length, are meaty
and help the smallies fatten up for the winter.
We will be tying four easy patterns that are very productive
for fall smallies. We will even be finishing out the
head on the Thunder creek with paint and Tuffeleye!
Make certain you come by at 2:00pm for this "Not to be
Missed" class. No need to put up your smallie gear
yet, there still plenty of big ones to catch!
