Synopsis of Class
|
Last week was eggs and this week in our series of Steelhead
flies we will be tying up some great nymph patterns.
Steelhead, unlike salmon, do feed when they come into the
rivers to spawn and therefore eat just about anything they
can get in their mouths. Hex, Caddis, and stonefly
nymphs are just a few of the juicy bugs they feed on.
In Saturday's tying class we will be focusing on
just nymph patterns for steelhead. We will be tying
five
tried and true patterns that are very productive in Michigan,
Ohio and just about any other steelhead water in the
Midwest. Some patterns we will be tying twice because
they are so quick and easy. Through out the class
we will be discussing different ways to
fish these flies. This should be a great class and you do
not want to miss it!
