Synopsis of Class
|
One area of fly fishing that is getting more and more
attention is fly fishing for Carp. The common carp is
found in most streams, lakes, reservoirs and pond throughout
the Midwest. As common as they are they can be a real
challenge to catch on a fly. Carp are just as
opportunistic as any other fish and readily eat nymphs,
crawfish, minnows and terrestrials. The trick is
knowing which fly to present and how to present it.
We will be tying four proven patterns for carp in this
class. Each of these flies is used at certain times to
target just what the carp are feeding on. The
other great thing is that these flies are great on
smallmouth as well.
The flies you will tie in this class are,
