Synopsis of Class
Many people think the best time for smallmouth fishing is when temperatures fall and the water clears. This is because smallmouth become very active in the fall feeding on bait fish and minnows fattening up for the winter. The water is usually lower and clearer in the fall. If you get out on the water right before the leaves start to fall you can see smallmouth chasing minnows all along the banks and around riffles and rapids.

In this class you will learn to tie five very productive streamer patterns. They are the

All tying material will be provided. You will need to bring the following tying equipment.
  • A vise
  • A bobbin
  • Tying Thread for this class Olive, White, Red 6/0 (70 - 100 Denier) and Black and Brown 3/0 (140 - 210 denier)
  • Head Cement
  • Bodkin
  • Hair Stacker
  • Hair Comb
  • Scissors (Good sharp scissors!)
  • Half hitch tools and/or Whip Finish Tool
