Synopsis of Class
|
One of the first fish of the new season to become
active as lakes clear of ice is the Northern Pike. These fish move up into the shallow
waters right after ice out to spawn and are very aggressive.
It is one of the few times of the year you can catch big pIke using just your floating line. As the
waters warm the fish will go to deeper water.
In this
class you will learn to tie three different flies that are
great pike flies. These are all minnow or
baitfish imitations. All three can be fished in the
colors we will tie in class as well small variations can be
easily made to color and weight to accommodate your
particular fishing conditions.
The flies you will tie are,
|

Double Bunny Leech

Blanton Flashtail Whistler
|

Clouser Half & Half |
