Lastly, to round out the Week of The Sculpin, here is an articulated sculpin pattern called The Articulated Winter Sculpin. Articulating a fly is a great way to add a lot of life and action. This is also not such a quick tie but that is only because of the articulation. Each of the sections of this fly are not that difficult to tie. - Enjoy.

New Tying Stuff From Flymen
We attended the IFTD show in New Orleans this past weekend and there is some great new stuff coming out all across fly fishing. I wanted to post something about the new products from Flymen though because these are really going to be hot.
Last year they came out with Fish Skulls which have been very popular this summer. Now they have something that is right up our alley, Sculpin Helmets. Basically Fish Skulls shaped like sculpin heads. I think these are going to be smallmouth killers around here.
Plus, they have come out with a cool articulated shank system for tying articulated streamers and using the Fish Skulls on an articulated streamer. The great thing is they keep the hook in the proper place relative to the fly and not sticking out the sides.
