Sleep, Dreams, and Birthday Donuts

Our sincere apologies for the lack of posts over the past week. Especially after pointing out that we are back at it again. The short version is that our web host company decided to make some changes without adequate testing. The long version, which would only pass along the headache, is that after 10 days we are finally back up and running as we should be.
 
That said, sit back and watch a great video about what we all love and long to do.

New News Wednesday

Want to know what will put you on the "naughty" list with Santa, fishing wise that is? Kirk Deeter compiled a list of do's and don'ts on Fly Talk. You may still have time to turn things around this year.
 
Steelhead fishing is still really good up on the Pere Marquette. Matt Dunn, Kevin Morlock and Steve Martinez have been posting pics up on Third Coast Fly all week of the fish they are catching. The weather is unseasonably warm which has kept the fishing good. You might contact Indigo Guide Service and squeeze in some time for one more fishing trip.

December ATightLoop

The December edition of ATightLoop is out. It is a great Christmas edition with all sorts of gift ideas. On a side note, Kurt was down recently at the shop interviewing Derrick, Jon and myself for an upcoming issue of ATightLoop. I won't give away any of the exclusive info he obtained. Only to say, keep an eye on the magazine or The Drift for what we talked about.

Back on Point

I apologize for the lack of postings this past week. It is the end of the year and I have been busy putting the finishing touches on our next magazine. Needles to say we have some great articles and ads from all across the industry this year. One of the shining jewels will be the cover. Not to pat myself on the back (or rather Derrick because he is the one that made it happen) we have outdone ourselves on the cover for 2012.
 
Anyway, many late nights editing, rearranging, and brainstorming to get things done on time. One of the biggest things in the news this week is Conway Bowman's episode of Fly Fishing the World on the Sportsman's Channel, Saturday 12-17-2011, will feature fishing for big carp on Beaver Island with Indigo Gguide Service. The show airs at 7:30 pm. Tune in to watch it but in the mean time check out the teaser.

Just Too Cool

On Fridays I like to share a video with folks who frequent here. Usually, it is something related to fly fishing or at least fishing. About the closest this video gets is that it is in water. But that is where fish live and if you take this to the next level you might be fishing in a whole new way. Anyway, it is just too cool to keep to myself. Enjoy.
