If you have the urge to get out of town this weekend head up to Southbend and join the St. Joe River Valley Fly Fishers for some fun. This Saturday (April 16th) they will be hosting a Castapalooza. There will be casting instruction (single and two handed), fly tying demonstrations, and displays from local retailers and manufacturers. They also have Jerry Darkes along as a special guest with a number of Scott rods for people to cast as well has years of experience to draw from. The spring steelhead should be just about be starting in the St. Joe these days and this weekend would be a great time to head up North and find all the places to fish and the flies to take.
