It is EMag Monday again and this month there are a host of new editions. We have four new editions to some favorites and one new electronic magazine. One magazine, A Tight Loop, we already posted about but because it came out after the first Monday in July we are including it here. The new magazine is FlyImage. Apparently, it has been around a while as there are a number of back issues. Plus, it has a Spanish version. If you run across any magazines on the Internet that you like, send us an email and we will see about including them in our monthly post. – Enjoy
It is EMag Monday for June 2012. We have three new issues of regular EMags this month. However, there are three or four regulars that are over due for a new issue. So, there will probably be more later this month or on the first Monday of July. Unfortunately, if you were not already aware, Catch Magazine has now gone to a subscription model. What this means is that you get to see about 25% of the magazine and if you want to see the rest you have to purchase either the current issue or a subscription. Oh well, maybe they'll change back one day. Enjoy
It may feel a bit late but today actually is the first Monday of the new Month. That means EMag Monday on The Drift. One of the great things about having this one particular post is it forces me to be on the look out for what is happening on the electronic magazine side oft he web. I get little time to read for pleasure and by having the EMag Monday [regular] post I get a chance to slow down and read. Gratefully, it seems each month that goes by has more and more quality offerings for fly fishers. So, here is this months round up.
Two standards have new editions out. Catch Magazine and Power Fiber. Always quality reads. One new magazine, SCOF (Southern Culture On the Fly) has just published their first edition, and you were there! If this is what we can expect, I look forward to more. Another new magazine is not new to others but is to me, Fly Fishers Inc. this is their sixth issue. I have not had a chance to look over one through five yet but will be making time later this week to do just that.
Three of the usual suspects have new editions out this month. One, A Tight Loop, was mentioned earlier in September. But for the benefit of the masses that only follow The Drift for our EMag Monday posts, it is recapped today. This Is Fly just came out with their latest and I haven't even had a chance to read it yet but I am sure it will be as good as the others.
Simply Fishing is a newcomer on the scene, meaning I just discovered it, but it has a lot of great fishing information. Lean on the fly fishing but any fishing is good fishing. Enjoy.
